One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the season is the Calypso Monarch Competition. Beginning with the eliminations, the competition progresses through the quarterfinals and semifinals before culminating in an exciting grand finale. Dominica’s strongest and most talented calypsonians go head-to-head for the prestigious title of Calypso King or Queen.
The show features two dynamic rounds, each delivering powerful lyrics, vibrant stage presence, and theatrical performances guaranteed to entertain. Winners are selected based on a comprehensive judging system that evaluates both musical and performance excellence.
The Calypso Monarch Competition takes place on 14th February and promises an unforgettable night of culture, creativity, and competition.
