Dominica Carnival is one of the most exciting times of the year on the island, with weeks of music, culture, and celebrations leading up to the grand finale, the Street Jump-Up.

While the Street Jump-Up marks the climax of the festivities, Carnival activities actually take place over several weeks and include pageants, calypso competitions, cultural events, and lively parties across the island.

So far, only the Street Jump-Up dates for Dominica Carnival 2027 have been officially announced. As soon as the full schedule of events is released, we will update this page with all the activities so you can start planning your Carnival experience.

Miss Dominica 2026

A highlight of our Carnival celebrations is the national queen show. Five beautiful ladies competed for the title of Miss Dominica on February 13 , 2026 at the Windsor Park Stadium. 

Calypso King 2026 - Daddy Chess

One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the season is the Calypso Monarch Competition. Beginning with the eliminations, the competition progresses through the quarterfinals and semifinals before culminating in an exciting grand finale. Dominica’s strongest and most talented calypsonians go head-to-head for the prestigious title of Calypso King or Queen. The Calypso Monarch Competition took place on 14th February 2026.
