A Celebration of Creole Music and Culture

Since it began in 1997, the World Creole Music Festival has grown into one of the most popular music festivals in the Caribbean. The event showcases a wide range of musical genres that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Creole-speaking communities.

Visitors can enjoy performances featuring styles such as:

  • Zouk

  • Bouyon

  • Reggae

  • Kompa

  • Soca

  • Dancehall

  • Afro-Caribbean fusion

When Does the Festival Take Place?

The World Creole Music Festival is held every year in late October, usually during the island’s Dominica Independence Celebrations. The event normally runs for three nights, with performances continuing until the next morning.
